anyone else getting pain in there ankle so finally starting to sleep after TKR 6weeks ago and im getting pain in my ankle pain killers are not touching it 2 tramadol and paracetamol last night and still in pain i didn't get this with last KR 4 years ago im still doing my PT 4 times a day but im not walking far should i be doing as others on here seam to be
yes I get pain in my ankles it comes with the trama your leg took also I don’t know about you but my surgeon inserted a long rod inside my fibula bone like halfway like the bottom of my calf muscle so that could be another reason and lastly your leg is still weak not full strength yet so use a tens machine everynite with heat and ice should help
im not sure yet what they have done don’t see consultant till 22nd
was just told it went ok
my leg was very bent curved before operation. it’s been more painful this time
yea its gonna be stiff and strait because of the swelling and bruises no worries once you have your physical therapy you will start to see a difference just keep your leg elevated with a pillow under the heel of feet and not under your knee that helps with the bending process also keep ice and heat on your leg and make sure you do the home exercise routine they gave you really helps getting that knee back to normal
Hi yes I get well not exactly pain in the ankles but more a discomfort and restless feel but the surgery we’ve had is traumatic and the leg has to recover in its own time. This is my second in 12months so still recovering from the first. I take liquid morphine each night with paracetamol and I get a full night’s sleep. Don’t take any other meds at all and pleased with the op. Good luck
