I was in a car accident in december the from of my small car hit the from drivers tire area. I have had a lot of ankle pain since, I went to ER they just said all my injuries were soft tissue whiplash type injuries. so no xrays I went to physio from Decemnber until 2 weeks ago in February Physiotherapist sent me for an xray my ankle is still very sore ( I have never had an ankle injury before ) the xray showed something at the base of the tibia possibly and old injury??? would it be considerd an old injury since they only xrayed it 2 months after the accident?

what it says exactly is frontal lateral and oblique projetions of the right ankle and foot reveal no recent , there is a coarsening of the bony trabeculae on the posterior aspect of the distal end of the tibia possibly the result of an old injury ...
Had you ever hurt it in the past? I know that if you did, your accident could have reaggervated the old injury. I would see an ortho and get it checked out.
No I have never injured that anke , think I will get it checked out I did physio for a long time but it still hurts a lot and limits me to what I can do.

You need to take your x-ray to an orthopeadic surgeon and get his advice. You've got pain. There must be something still wrong.
