I had a left TKR on March 2, 2015. About ten weeks after that I started having pain in my left foot. The pain is mostly in my ankle and the top of my foot. It mostly happens if I stand in one spot, say, by the time I brush my teeth and put on makeup base, I'm really in pain. And if I go to the grocery, I'm almost crying from pain by the time I'm done. My surgeon's nurse suggested I go to a foot dr, which I have done. I had a CT scan which showed nothing and now I am back in PT and in a
cam boot and guess what? My knee is hurting again and it hasn't hurt in weeks and weeks. Help!!

Had ankle replacement 10 weeks ago and also having the same problem.
Difficult to get any advice that allows you to find out what to do to get pain releaf other than keep taking the tablets.
l am currently getting ankle massage each day which is showing results at last.

My surgeon's information and my physical therapist both said it's not unusual to have the ankle pain after surgery but not when your surgery has been as long ago as mine has. I use ice 3 times a day.

I just had a dedebriment in my right ankle and a bone spur taken away in mid Jan , things moved along nicley then the pain started and i couldn't put my foot on the floor, they gave me a steriod injection in april, this didn't work so they put it in a plaster cast, i got this off 2 weeks ago and they gave me another steroid injection which i had to go into theatre for so they could get it in the right place. I am now in a moonboot which helps when i am walking but i can't go without it, so i don't know what my surgeon will say when i see him again in six weeks if this is not working as he said i am to young for a ankle fusion or a replacement ankle.
I am now 6 months down the line and I can really understand what you are saying about the pain as i have had days that doing the simplest thing like hanging my washing out and i have been struggling to do this, i have been in tears with this pain as nothing would take it away. My life seems to be on hold as i am an active person and i have to rely on others to take me anywhere as i can't drive just now. So hopefully the injection will work within the time i see the surgeon again.
