i have had constant pain in both ankles for 3 years. I have seen a Rheumatologist, had MRI scans, ultrasound scan and X-Rays. They all show nothing mechanical wrong with the ankles. It feels like walking on a broken bone. Does anyone else experience this.
Unfortunately Pamela the dreadful sore ankles have been a huge part of my FM journey for over five years. No amount of tests show anything untoward but it certainly does feel like walking on broken bones.
I now do a few aqua-cise classes every week at my local swimming pool and I most certainly feel a huge improvement.
My Fibro started with problems in my ankle and then moved around the body. i thought it was R A to start with so did the rheumatologist.
Every pain we get is not necessarily due to the PMR we suffer. I have had trouble with knees and ankles and 1 elbow for months. All joints except 1 knee did improved, but 1 knee was very painful and would, without warning, give way beneath me. I had a few falls and always felt insecure, so I was walking around very slowly. Doctor and Rheumatologist found no reason for my problem. A few weeks ago I visited my brothers in Australia. Two of them were going to their Chiropractor next day, so I decided to go to, to get a third opinion. She worked on my knee, it immediately felt different, and i have not had the pain again and it has not given way on me since. It is nearly 2 months ago now. In future I will look for alternative ways to cure my problems if xrays and specialists cannot help.
Hi.
Thanks for your reply. I am a great believer in alternative therapy. I have had acupuncture and physio nothing has worked. I am glad the chiropractor worked for you.
