Another anxiety symptom ?! This ones scary . Help

Hey,

I have been diagnosed with anxiety , I have all the usual symptoms both physical and mental.. for the past couple months I've had a really odd thing going on with my breathing. I need to know if anyone else has experienced it. It's as if all the sudden out of nowhere I get this small ,sudden , involuntary gasp . It's like a hiccup but without the sound it's a breath not a hiccup but it's a quick motion like a hiccup.  It's bizarre and scary . I mentioned it to my dr and he didn't seem concerned but I sure am. I have searched online and haven't really found much. I've had a chest /stomach X-ray, 2 ecgs , countless blood work , thyroid bloods , ct scan of stomach / bowels . Everything is coming back normal .

Has anyone had this symptom with stress/anxiety? I'm wondering if it's a sort of stress response or spasm . I have been obsessing over my breathing & heart rate /blood pressure since my attack in June but this weird breathe thing started happening prior to that and at the time I didn't pay much attention to it and now I'm freaked . It happens once a day or once every other day just out of the blue .

Any help on this would be appreciated .

I have had that happen when I am anxious. Not every single time but I know what it feels like. Actually, I've had that occasionally  since I was in my 20s and now I'm in my 50s. So it really hasn't done any harm.

keep in mind that when you're anxious your brain sends out adrenaline which increases the heart rate. That is perfectly normal and it cannot hurt you when it's due to anxiety.

anxiety creates hundreds of different symptoms.

there are many meditations on YouTube for proper breathing and calming the breathing down. Maybe this would help decrease what you are experiencing.

search for 10 minute breath meditation there are several to choose from.

just try to do things that help you to relax whether it's going for a walk in nature, listening to the meditations, smiling laughing socializing etc. ❤️🌸

Thanks for your response ,

I'm on medication that helps me with my anxiety but I'm still getting this symptom , even when I don't feel anxious . It's strange but hopefully harmless .
