Hi Hippy hippy shake shakes!
Hope you are all well, whatever stage you are at and keeping positive and cheerful.
Today was 'dressing off' day at the doctors. No stitches to take out as surgeon had put dissolvable ones in. Amazed at how small scar is - had Superpath proceedure by the way. Approx 3.5 inch incision plus a small round incision a bit further down where they put the 'driver' which I believe locates and lines up the socket for implant. No redness and quite neat and tidy - so I can have a shower now - yippee!
2 weeks and 1 day since op and feeling good and mobile during the day. Actually went out and saw a client tonight at a local hotel for an hour (with hubbie) and I actually forgot that I had had an operation when I came to get up. Then I realised I needed my crutches! Popped into McDonalds on way back - oh it is wonderful to get in and out of the car with none of that dreadful pre op pain. Do put a plastic dustbin bag on the seat - you can swivel really easily. My thick padded cushion goes everywhere with me at the moment - makes life a lot more comfy. Done 3 lots of washing today - in and out of machine with grabber - what a brilliant tool and hung on airer in bathrooml! Any hippies to be, do get a grabber!
Had a couple of hours rest and a doze this afternoon and walked up and down our very long drive with 2 crutches several times.
Going to hit the hay in a minute - don't sleep much at night, but hey, you can't have it all ways. Plenty of magazines to read and TV to watch and shopping to order from Sainsburys!
Hope all you lovely people have a good night
Tomorrow is another day!
Love and best wishes Linda xx
