Hi everyone I'm after some advice.
My GP started me on 100mg a day of sertarline 6 weeks ago, I had the usual side effects...
The runs
Bit of stomach ache but nothing serious
Trouble sleeping
Sweats and hot flushes
Ect but they all stopped couple of weeks ago now
However this last week I have been suffering with really bad stomach ache/cramps no runs or anything like that and no other side effects just really bad aches/cramps to the point I have doubled over in pain.
Is this normal? I could cope with the other side effects but I can't cope with this. If it's normal how long does it usually last? Today is the 8th day and after 6 weeks I thought I'd got past all the side effects stage. I also have a slight ache in the bottom of my lower back on my right hand side. If it makes any difference I'm a 35yr old male.
All the best
Paul
Actually my mistake I've been on them for 7 weeks, last 8 days I've had really bad stomach ache/cramps and before that I was like 2 weeks with no side effects
All the best
Paul
Hi paul no i dont think this is normal because you said lower back on the right hand side it could be a kidney stone i have had one myself and they are extremely painful Look out for blood in your urine jeff
hey Paul!
yes thats normal. We get very anxiety ridden and very aware if our bodies. Those will all go away!
will
I was recently prescribed sertraline after a less than successful bout with citalopram for 8 months. I haven’t started the sertraline yet, but I can tell you the stomach aches and pains you describe were exactly some of the things I went through on citalopram. very specifically the right side pain and back aches happened to me.
it got to the point that I think the side effects started outweighing any benefits I was getting from the meds. my anxiety still raced
