Hello ladies.
Hope you are all doing great 👍
I am just wanting some advice off you guys who have had what I've had.
I find a heaviness in the front on times especially if I'm walking. I had been check a few weeks ago and he seems to think all is well. He didn't check me standing up though??
I also have mild posterior laxity and feel one day it will have to be dinet, wished now I had it all done but he don't do them together on younger women for fear of being to tight. I have thought thousands of times it's fai!ed,anyone felt the same thing??
I'm still in movicol as afraid to strain so will continue lol. I'm also on ovestin estriol cream now instead of vagifem.
Any reassurance please ladies..
Phyllis love,do you know what I mean as I know you have been through it.💕💕💕 thank you everyone.
I get the same thing!!! And I'm at 4 months!! Was told everything is fine...and i use the same cream!! So let me know what you find out
Hi Welshgirl,
I think I do know what you mean; when I do too much I feel like there is a little pulling or tightness at the front which makes me feel like Its full or swollen like I've got a football in pelvic floor at front, when I check
the front wall is only really a bit saggy so I suppose just a warning to slow down. It's only really a problem if I walk too far and have to walk back so I get really nippy and then have to rest up. It still stiffens up and goes really tight and nippy still like ligament damage and can take a day or two to recover.
I have had to accept that having had 2 lots of surgery means the possibility of nerve/ligament damage and scar tissue and that it's probably as good as it's going to get!
I'm thinking of maybe going back to physio to see if their is anything else I can do at this stage as feel that now am 2yrs and almost 4 months post op I surely should be fully recovered but still feel so restricted.
Take care and try not too worry too much the fact that your aware to be careful you will have done a good job of protecting your repair. I'm sure it will be fine.

Sometimes think the tightness is muscles tightening up

Ahh thanks phyl..your advice is wonderful..yes I've been double cautious to the point ofvstill only boiling kettle for 1 cup.. It's awful this recovery, mental more than physical I've experienced. You look after my friend.💕💕💕
I will love same to youxx
Dear Wellshgirl,
Its so awful not knowing things, isnt it. I have a little heaviness in the vagina feeling too at 3 months now if walking too much. Ive had trust my doc who said it was fine. Remember your specialist I think said the back wall laxity was incredibly mild and wouldnt need surgery?
Ttry to trust, rest when you can, and remember you have helped so many on this forum.

Hi Welshgirl
I have just been to gp complaining of same thing. I am 18 weeks post rectocele. Went back to work phased return 3 weeks ago and since then I have felt a bulge to front on numerous occasions. Gp said everything has healed well and no sign of bladder prolapse.
Struggling to have intercourse with husband due to discomfort to the front as well but gp doesn't see any future problem with care and patience.
I feel same as you that things may look different when upright. Feel as if watching this space.
Take care
Hi Ragnar,
Sometimes feel they send us back to work but fail to stress that we now have to be careful, they fail to mention to avoid high impact work where carrying heavy items or being on our feet for long periods may be an issue.
Never any advise on long term aftercare at all. Very disappointing being that it's our long term health that is being put at risk.

Hi Ruth
Yes love he did say it's very mild but the pressure i feel in vag when I do need to go is awful and weighty.
I cannot poo without movicol. I trust him 100% and know he is the proff but I will be contented if he checks me standing so any pushing down will show. I really don't know what they don't check us standing? That's what we are isn't it.
Anyway he has asked me to book in to see him next month to be checked?
£100 worth spent I feel even though it's a lot of money, hubby working an extra shift. You take care my friend!!x
Yes i remember ssying to my gp when she checked my posterior wall "but if Im lying flat on my back like this it will feel non-bulgey to you" She said 'but Im going to get you to push a little bit and then Id feel anything wrong'....said it felt fine...just have to believe her i think!

Hi welsh girl
I am having exactly the same thing, so disheartened
I have been told I have up prolapse and bulge that I feel/see is excess tissue from the repair but Iβm not convinced
I see him again in 2nd Aug so see what he says then I suppose
Xx
Yes love it mental tourture.
I refuse to use mirror to look as if will drive me to distraction.
I'm scared from last repair that's my problem.but he is began proff and knows his stuff. I just hope my back wall haven't found a new space to drop.
Without movicol I can't poo. He told me 95% of women have laxity after childbirth it's normal.
I have appointment July 3rd again.xx
Hi Phyl
agree with you totally. I asked about lifting my grandkids. Was told do a pelvic tilt as I lift. If it wasn't for this forum I would have went back to work and continued as before. Being on here forewarned me so discussed a few things I will permanently avoid with manager. He has been very supportive. There are some things unavoidable though.
Hope you have same support?
Take care
I have been told from many ladies that when we have front wall done they don't repair down to the entrance so whats left is normal, like a small bulge.. It's not nice I know but I guess we have to accept the new us.
May be some ladies on the forum will post about it as it's very worrying when you are it.xx
Is your bulge front entrance or back hunx
But mine is very rough so I feel as though it rubs and irritates the surrounding tissues, my surgeon assured me if itβs too problematic he can rectify it in day surgery so I do think I will be asking for that xx
Hi Welshgirl
Just had anterior repair for 3rd time in 5 years and I'm now 3 weeks post Op. I wasn't aware they left excess bulge down to front entrance but this is what I have had since first Op and still have now. I have been convinced it wasnt successful but now thinking maybe not, tho am really disappointed as I was hoping this would have been removed .
I've been having stomach ache for last couple of days despite not overdoing it, tho am working half days at home on laptop. Has anyone had this please ? Any ideas why ? xx
