Hi everyone, I’m posting because I have had a recent bout of health anxiety after having relatively low levels of it this past year and am looking for some support. I recently had to have a mole removed to be tested for cancer (still waiting for results which is anxiety-inducing in itself) and the site ended up getting infected. This whole thing has increased my health anxiety a lot, so when I started taking the antibiotics and had a bit of a weird feeling in my throat/chest I got really worried about having an allergic reaction like anaphylactic shock. I’m not allergic to much of anything and have never had a reaction to antibiotics, but I’ve never taken this type (sulfa-something) before. I’ve taken 3 pills so far and every time I get a weird tickle in my throat/chest afterwards. It’s very mild but I’m worried it will develop into something worse. Is it possible to have a severe allergic reaction to it after being relatively okay the first few times? I have 17 pills left and am dreading taking them. Any advice or insight would be amazing, thank you!!
