Antibiotics and Zoloft

Has anyone had any issues taking antibiotics while taking Zoloft?

I have developed such a bad cold due to recent weather changes, and I am considering seeing my Dr. I am a little cautious though, because I don’t want antibiotics to react with my Zoloft.. I had to take an antibiotic to prevent cellulitis on my face back around the same time I started going downhill and had increase my dose of Zoloft, so I’ve always figured that had something to do with why I had that breakthrough anxiety. Maybe it was just a coincidence? But now I’m scared to take anything at all!

I would not link the 2 together. Having anxiety we tend to do that, whatever was happening at the time we link it. Was there something saying that there was an interaction between the 2 medications? If not, I would think it was just having the cellulitis that may have got you worked up and not the medications. I have never had any problems with taking antibiotics during zoloft personally. Always make sure to ask if there is any interactions at the pharmacy before taking anything though of course.
