My GP recently gave me Valtrex to help with an outbreak that I am having. She told me 2 a day for 5 days but she gave me enough tablets for 2 a day for 15 days. I am currently on day 4 and the sores are not healed and I’m still itchy and sore. Should I still finish tomorrow like she suggested or should I continue until the sores are healed and I’m no longer itchy? I’m about to start suppression medication which is a different brand and I need to get this outbreak under control first.
