anxiety & panic attacks with my son

H mel im so sorry to hear about your son.But i do hope he can find peace of mind and hopefully move on.

My youngest daughter was attacked 2yrs ago and badly beat up, it really was touch and go. Anyway after the court case in which the perpretrators were found guilty and sentenced did our nightmare begin. Our daughter suffered so much from nightmares and panic attacks , she also suffered from extreme anxiety, flash backs and deep depression, including suicidal thoughts .We realised we needed expert help and sought the advice of our GP. Penny our daughter was prescribed sertraline 50mg.Though the road was rocky and she struggled badly with the side affects, our GP encouraged her to persevere. We are so relieved she did because the transformation has been dramatic, she has regained her confidence, she no longer has nightmares or panic attacks she says these tablets have helped her get her life back together. Her advice is to try to persevere with the side effects best you can, its hard but worthwhile. its taken Penny 6 months to get to were she is now but worth the wait and determination. She relizes these tablets dont suite everyone but please give them a chance. luv penny

many thanks for your reply and so pleased your daughter has improved immensly, since I posted I have to say I have seen a great improvement in my son, he has started going back to college only for a few hoursa day but that is a massive improvement on before, he is slowly catching up with his school work and on the whole is a much happier young man. He is going to be on the tablets for a long while so I can only hope and pray that he continues to improve and starts to enjoy his life again. Best wishes Mel
