, Hi Is anyone else on phenelzine/nardil or any other of the MAOI s for GAD.? It would be good to have someone to compare notes with about these medications.
i am interested in these too as nothing else worked. will be following responses. i asssume you have tried others?
Oh yes 6 years worth of others with none of them working. i was put on phenelzine as a bit of a last hope and thank goodness it worked. i finally got my life back and for the last 30 + years it has worked perfectly. The main reason for my query is that there is only one manufacturer of this in the UK and they are out of stock for 3 months so I was hoping someone who is using Parnate or one of the other MAOIs could let me know how they work for them as it is looking as if I may have to move on too e of them until the Phenelzine comes back in stock. If nothing else has worked for you i would certainly give them a try as they saved my life without a doubt. There are diet restrictions and many drug interactions but with care these are easily managed and to feel well again is worth putting up with them.
i’d be interested to know how you get on if you do decide to give them a try.
i tried the only one dr would give me, it was useless, not many diet restrictions but didnt work. i want to try nardil but he hasnt complied, is that the one which is out of stock?
