any experiences of pregabalin please for anxiety and depression
Hi Ann
I have been taking Pregabilin for the last year. 100mg morning and 100mg evening.
It did reduce my anxiety which was very intense at the time. So it does work. However I would also mention that I later found out that it can be addictive, which I wasn't told at the time. In fact it is used as a street drug, although at much higher doses. When I tried to reduce my use I did have horrific anxiety for a week or so until it had settled to a new level. I was told this was psychological but I'm very dubious about that.
A side effect that I found was that I was very tired all the time and needed a nap during the day although again this might be a side effect of the anxiety as it is very tiring.
Have you been taking it too? or are you just thinking of taking it? I would be interested in comparing anyone else's experience as well.
Best Wishes
It was suggested as i do not seem to get any benefits frommthe usual meds others take. I am not sure because of the tiredness and reliance on it. Looking for positive or negative experiences.
