I'm curious if anxiety can cause dry mouth a lot. I constantly drink water a lot in a day and don't drink any carbonated drinks which has been a good few months now. I track down with a water reminder app on how much I did drink so far but I keep experiencing a dry mouth like an hour later, including before bed. I try to avoid drinking water before bed time since I don't want to wake up with a very full bladder or waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and get poor sleep. Does anyone else experience this too or something similar?
I get dry mouth when i go to bed and wake up in the morning. Its because my nose clogs while i sleep and i breathe out my mouth so the water in my mouth dries up and i wake with dry mouth. I have to keep a bottle of water next to my bed so when i wake, and cant swallow, i take a few sips of water to lube things up again. Dry mouth can be side affects of certain medication as well. All you can do is keep hydrated and you can use a humidifier in your home to keep moisture in the air or you can boil water with the lid off and that will also moisturize the air. A CPAC machine could also help while you sleep as it constantly pumps moist air into your mouth and nose.
