Anxiety and fluoxetine

i'm a 16 year old girl, and i've been struggling with anxiety for two years now. On Monday i was put on 20mg fluoxetine but i'm really worried about how it's been affecting me. On Friday i went to A&E because i was so scared. They did blood tests and an ECG and checked me over and they said everything was physically fine, but i'm getting so stressed and my anxiety feels so different. I feel like i'm shaking and i have internal tremors, i keep getting little bits of chest tightness and movement and also a bit in my arms and back. I'm also getting little bits of pain in my chest and arms especially on my left which makes me more stressed. My face and throat is also very stuffy. All these things i've had before as part of my anxiety but it feels so strange and increased. My other problem is my arms keep getting this warm/tingling sensation which is worse when i'm not distracted. I also have tummy trouble and lack of appetite. It stresses me so much especially when the chest problems are more on my left. Is this just anxiety and the side effects of the medicine or should i be worries

Hi

It takes up to 3 weeks for the pills to start working. During those 3 weeks your anxiety will increase. Once your body is use to the pills you’ll feel the difference. The worst is to push through the first 2-3 weeks. My Dr gave me azor which is a tranquilizer to help me through those first weeks.

Hey, you don’t need to suffer like this. What you describe are typical anxiety symptoms that are basically caused by a part of your mind being a little too active, that’s all it is. You simply need to calm this down. I have sent you some more details via PM.

so it’s day 7 and i woke up at 5 o’clock.
I had a bit of diarrhoea and i feel a bit sick.
I just keep trying to tell myself to carry on because eventually the medicine will start to help.
It’s just difficult to persuade myself that it’s just side effects and nothing is seriously wrong with me.
I worrying that i’ve got seretotin syndrome or some sort of horrible reaction and that something bad will happen even though that would have been picked up at a&e surely because i’d been taking the medicine already for 4 days
