Hi,
My anxiety has been very high lately. During December I ended up in the ER and had an EKG and CT Scan that were normal. I felt better for a while. Now the back pain is back and I am so nervous about it. I feel like it may be my heart but then if that was the case I have had the same symptoms for years... and I also have GERD.
Do you feel pain between your shoulder blades? how do you make it better?
GERD. And anxiety Can cause that type of pain. Your scan and EKG were normal.
start working on reducing your anxiety because when you get anxious, the symptoms can get worse. Relax your mind as best you can. Do you have any information on the type of diet to use with GERD? Eating the wrong things can cause symptoms.
such as fatty, spicy, acidic foods. Mint, chocolate, onions, caffeine and carbonated beverages .
Your doctor could provide you with a list of foods to eat.
did your doctor prescribe any medication?
Thanks for your reply. The doctor gave me pantoprazole but that made the back pain worse. I am being very careful with what I eat but I think the anxiety is making things worse. I need to relax but I have a trip coming up and will see my dad for the first time since he was moved to a geriatric home. So the situation is also stressful.
