Today I was sat in a cinema and I had a feeling of heavy pressure round the solar plexus area and I had a nasty palpitation so I just controlled my breathing and I was fine after 10 mins when I got home I had another palpitation and got like a sweet taste in my throat can anybody relate to this and a bit of heart burn
Hi Lee,
First and foremost without sounding lke I am trying to insult you (which I am not) Solar Plexus? Do you have a decent knowledge of anatomincal terms or do you draw this conclusion from googling?
I am not saying that this is the case for you nor am I trying to diagnose you however I just wanted you to know about something simlar that could explain what you actually experenced.
Have you be considered for any sort of Acid related condition? The reason I ask is that sometimes with sever acid you can experience a sort of "pop" sensation in your stomach area when gas moves etc. This sensation could feel like a heavy palpitation however it isn't one if you get what I mean. The whole sweet taste in the mouth to me almost sound like you have had gas movements and the pop might have sent things upwards as gross as it sounds. What had you eaten before hand? Considering the fact that you was in the cinema had you been indulging in a few sweet treats prior to feeling this mate? If so that might explain it all.
I am not saying I am right I am just trying to find other solutions for you.
Thank you for your comment I have Been feeling this for months past couple of days have been bad I'm shooting up as I fall to sleep and gasping for a breath even though when I gasp for a breath I don't feel short of breath during the day I feel like I can't get a full satisfying breath unless I yawn sounds stupid I have been getting heart burn past few days aswell but when I'm feeling breathless the tension is around the solar plexus area I might know the reason I'm a big lad I can shift my weight though haha but when I'm out and about I breath in so I don't look fat and iv done this for months could that cause problems breathing in constantly because it's become a habit now I do it round the house aswell
Hello mate,
Have you been checked out for things such as Acid Reflux? I'm not saying this is what you have however your symptoms are very similar to those that I had with Acid, especially the waking up feeling like you can't breath and the heartburn sensation.
When I had bad Acid I had very similar symptoms. Bad Acid reflux and GERD can cause a sensation of a tight chest and obviously the heartburn type symptoms go hand in hand with it. I spoke to the doctor about the waking up feeling like I oculdn't breath and he said the reason behind this was that when we lay down it allows the acid and gases to move upwards which causes this sensation and he suggested that I elevate myself with pillows and this would help sort it and it did.
I'm not saying you are the same but I see some similarities.
