Does anyone find that their anxiety makes them physically ill? For example, if something happens that stresses me, I get heavily fatigued, headaches, bad stomach, sickness, irritable etc. At first I thought I was actually sick and returned to the doctors time and time again, had 14 blood tests, and ended up being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, but it’s only when I’m worried that I feel this way. Is this uncommon?
Completely normal
I get loads of physical symptoms of anxiety
it is completely normal for someone with anxiety to experience these. im only 18 years old and know probably almost everything about anxiety. i am fatigued every single day of my life , i cannot recall a time i have actually felt rested and slept well. i am always struggling with nausea & stomach problems. depersonalization, breathing problems, everything you could imagine.. i experience it on a day-to-day basis. its honestly so scary. not knowing what the future holds and if you will ever get better. i hope and pray that we all do. anxiety is definitely by far one of the worst things to deal with. im so sorry you struggle with this. stress can have a huge impact on our body and how it functions . stress results in our immune systems getting weaker which means you are more prone to sicknesses and other body issues. finding strategies to help you manage stress would benefit you most.
No it’s not uncommon i get that way to
