Anxiety and stomach problems gut and anxiety

I am always having stomach problems from it being nauseous or hurting. I had h pylori that can cause anxiety this was 6 months ago I was retested last week and it was negative so that's great news for me. All doctors visits have been good also blood work all good also. Dr gave me med for stomach problems I'm on Ativan as needed daily. I can not take anti depression meds because of the horrible side effects. All I can do is take ginger capsule for the nausea. I am working really hard on ignoring the anxiety symptoms but that's hard to do. Stomach feels weird and goes to my head and it gives me anxiety. Stress levels do it also but I try not to let stuff get under my skin like I use too. Therapist has get advice but you have to be consistent and not get comfortable and go back to old habits.

My question is. How do anyone of you tolerate your stomach and anxiety problems and deal with your day to day work or duties. I almost feel that I'm always sick. Dr told me since anxiety is caused by a bad gut it controls the brain. I agree I don't have any personal worries it's just the anxiety that comes out of the blues for no reason. I can be having a great conversation and boom here it comes and it's very scary. I had anxiety for a year now. I know we all have it but I just need to learn how to deal with it and ignore the side effects. My health is all good.

I'm 44 years old and have a family to take care of and I use to never miss work and last year I was out threw out the whole year I even had to take a leave of absence cause of this horrible anxiety problem.

Please advise how to ignore and not to think about anxiety and not look up stuff on Dr Google .

I also had h pylori in the past, I'm actually getting retested next week for it! I take baking soda daily.. Tsp in a small amount of water and drink it.. Immediately stops the gurgling/heartburn feeling. I just got put on ativan today along with my other meds, how do you like it so far?

Also what is your diet like? I had to completely rearrange my diet once anxiety hit, one burger and my anxiety is sky high for 3 days following. No fast food, grease, sugar, caffeine, it's all fine in extreme moderation, but it will mess with both your mind and body.

Hello,

Thank you for your advice on the baking soda I will give it a try. As for the Ativan I take a low dose as needed 0.5mg it works really well and it relaxes you and you can still do your daily work .

My diet is good that was keeping me feeling better. Your right about the fast food and greasy food as soon as I get that and sugary stuff it does the same. I was feeling well and started to eat junk food and some fast food and I believe it's working the anxiety up. I'm going to stay with my diet.

Thank you for your advice glad I'm not alone with this . Wish you well and let's stop this anxiety for good.

Hi I'm so sorry to hear how you're feeling but I understand I'm 42 years old and I have a family to take care of two it's hard to forget about it but the more I read on here and people saying you have to accept that it's anxiety not always fight it off just let it happen and ignore it it does help my main thing now is just feeling like I can't breathe it's not as strong as it was but it's a lot better you just got to keep working at it and doing it everyday my mind still goes back to it and tries to make it worse but I just keep redirecting my brain
