i have been so good only having one or no diazp a day, now i feel like this.
they have given me long term meds but thats not going to start working.
some help!
Unfortunately diazepam can cause a lot of issues. It is possible that you could be suffering withdrawls. Do you notice you are fine a half hour after taking the tablet and then are suffering the next day or perhaps hours afterwards? As someone who suffered terribly on these drugs for years and is finally off, I can say it did not take long to become dependant on them, for me it was 2-3 weeks tops. Only at the time I didn’t make the connection. I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. My interwithdrawal symptoms were anxiety, chest tightness chest pain and eventually after taking these long term, phobias and breathing difficulties. You have to taper off these drugs SLOWLY. These drugs are meant for short term use only and not to be taken consistently. For me I will never touch them again
ive had the sane for roughly 3 months. it could be that you had it a while ago and whats left is residule. Try not to worry. I find having a glass or two of wine helps x
So you need to take your valium (diazepam) when you feel like that. Dont be a hero, you have the medication for a reason, use it. Especially with the heightened anxiety the pandemic and subsequent lockdown everyone is stuck in. This virus is scary. We have a natural tendency, because we have GAD, to over think things and think the worse. My first reaction was i am going to catch this virus and die. Took me weeks to calm down and i am medicated for anxiety all the time, but that week, i had to take several xanex due to panic and sleeplessness. I too only take the xanex on rare occasions, but i know when my heart starts racing and my breathing increases and i go nuts in my head, its time to take a xanex. You are not alone. I have a therapist and a psychiatrist so i have a really good support system. You may want to think about doing the same. I hope you feel better, and please take your valium if you need it, you can always get more if you tun out, saving them for a rainy day isnt going to help you one bit.
