I have very sever anxiety, migraines, depression, so emotional I cry over everything almost. I am now and have been for the last 5 yrs. I have become angoraphobic and won't leave my house unless I go to the doctors. My kids are grown, don't see my two grand daughters very much, and that makes it worse. I can not take any antideppresents, I am trying to get back into theraphy, do you have any suggestions that would or might help me. I don't have many friends to talk to and I'm so sick of just sitting in my apt. I can't stand it. Also I have no car. I am on xanax but it seems like it is getting worse. I also feel like I have a hole in my heart.
It sounds like they might need to up your dose of xanax. I also take it, and have had the same problems as you. Getting a little better. Can you find a therapist that will do sessions over the phone? I had to do that for a year. Being alone makes me worse. Are you able to walk around outside? I made me my special place outside with patio furniture and my favorite flowers. The fresh air helps also. I just sit and watch the birds, read a book, whatever just to soak up the sun and relax. It takes baby steps. Any step is a great one, so don't get discouraged!! Hugs
Thank you Bonnie, I dont think they can up the dose, I started on a low dose 30 yrs. ago and now I am on 2 mg. No I dont go out only to go to my drs. I don't know what to do, I want to live not just exist. I also have migraines and I spend a lot off time in bed in the dark no noise and I want to enjoy my life again. I don't have a good therapist yet, i need one to help me thru this. I was also on lortab for the migraines but have not taken it for a few months. I'm not sure now if i will ever be off this or how to get the right help. I just know everything has gotten worse.
Hi Melanie. Are you taking 2mg a day, or a few times a day? I have been on it for 13 years. I am up to .5mg 4 times a day. I know when I was trapped in my house, I used to get headaches a lot. I stayed in bed all the time. I figured "what do I have to get up for"? My therapy was done by phone. While I was on the phone for my therapy session, he would tell me to put one foot out the door and just stand there as long as I could. I had to do this by little steps each time. I had some setbacks sometimes, but after about 2 years, I can go around town. Don't beat yourself up. You spoke up on here, so you obviously want help. It is just finding it. I wish someone that knows your area would get in this discussion to let you know your options. Or look on the internet to see if you can find therapy. It also helps me that I have a 19 year old Autistic daughter that wants me to drive her to the park every day. So I have to make myself keep moving for her and myself. Let me know if you find any help. But you can message me through this group anytime!!
