I'm 26yrs old. I've never suffered from anxiety. Well in March I was under a lot of stress and not eating that well. Then all of the sudden this all day feeling of anxiety overcame me. No, I wasn't having racing thoughts at all. I was just feeling extremely exhausted from all the electricity feeling in my chest, the tightness in my chest, the rapid heartbeat, the sweating. Well I started having 3 panic attacks a day for no reason. Nothing was calming me down. Finally I Googled vitamin deficiencies and anxiety. Well I found B complex is good for anxiety along with magnesium. So I started taking them. Stopped the panic attacks and made my anxiety non existent. Well bc I was feeling much better I stoped or lowered my vitamins (I'm not a fan of supplements or pills)... well I also had some chocolate and some alcohol. Needless to say my anxiety feeling has come back. Sorry this is long. Well I'm wondering is it possible to feel anxiety in my body without any obsessive or racing thoughts? My mind is completely blank and then I'll start feeling this electricity feeling in my chest (like if it were my nerves)...and that'll make me feel horrible. ... and I can't sleep well.... I fall asleep quickly bUT I'll wake up 6-7 times a night. I'll fall back asleep but I'm not getting really good sleep. /: Well...any advice please?
Hi Ano chick , Im sorry to read about what had you been through ! it seems that you 're stressed out for some reason and the body is starting to show the affect of the toll you had been taking. Had you considered going for a detailed health check up ? Such as hormone profile or Chemisty of certain minerals and enzymes. As sometimes lack of certain chemicals may bring out such changes or mood instabiity ! You are too young... And have a long life ahead. So hpefully things will go best in your direction ! keep me posted dear
I've had my vitamin D, b12, zinc, b1, magnesium checked and iron levels. ..all came back normal except for vitamin D. I've had my thyroid levels checked and have had electrolytes checked. I've had numerous ekgs, a leg ultrasound (I had cramping. ..they checked for blood clots) and numerous x-rays (I've had to go to the ER bc of the panic attacks /: ). But I haven't had enzymes checked...only heart enzymes in the ER (again normal)... I want an echo soon from my pcp just for peace of mind. .. (I get a lot of chest pains although it feels like chest muscle pain but idk...) I'm going to start eating more fruits and veggies and I'm cutting sugar out for sure. Thanks for your reply. (:
Get this book called Mindfulness finding peace in a Frantic World by Mark Williams and Danny Penman......worth a go and it will complement your vitamins.....start you on a journey of self help and discovery...worth a try...Anxiety is horrendous....nothing to lose....best wishes J
