I have got an anxiety disorder and I am not looking for a quick fix for it or anything like that I just want to ask is it possible to live life free of it, like to the point were there is no physical symptoms and no constant worry.
If your a sufferer and is prone I would say
No what I will say is that it's easier to accept the anxiety and to also understand it
Learning how to deal with it etc with /without meds, therapy whatever it be
I've read many a post relating to anxiety
And how it's crept back in because of
A number of things like winter (SAD)
A death , a job loss , money worries
The list is endless
It also depends the person affected
How they respond , there age
Diet and any other medical issues
They may have .
Yes it is possible to live free from it. Although I still become anxious about some things, i can cope with it and it no longer pervades all areas of my life as it once did.
I think everything is possible, you just need to believe in yourself and work hard every day on your anxiety, don’t afraid to experiment you have nothing to lose at the end of the day. By experiment I mean - meditation, breathing exercises or whatever there is to reduce anxiety. See what works best for you.
90% of my life is anxiety free, but I don't think I'll ever be free from the wretched illness. I'm not really sure if I'd call the anxiety I have now an illness,as it only bothers me every now and then, but 9 years ago it was a major disability. If I had the choice between a lottery win and to be anxiety free,I'd take the money. If the same offer was made to me 9 years ago,I'd have taken being anxiety free in a flash. It was the darkest time in my life, and believe me,I've been to some dark places. But if I can get through it Dom,then you can mate. Exercise and keeping busy would be my tip,and if your health is the root to your anxiety, don't google your symptoms, and if you can't trust yourself to do that, then get your internet switched off. It may seem a drastic step, but it worked for me. I'm a die hard Everton fan,I go to all the home games and get to most away fixtures, but when my anxiety was at it worst I couldn't give two hoots if they won or lost, and that is bad for me.
Thanks for the reply mate, sorry I took so long to reply my self. I am a Liverpool supporter my self haha I have been feeling like you I don't care if they win or lose my anxiety stems around the fact I'm having scary chest pains and all symptoms of a heart attack but it has never happened I Google can you get rid of health anxiety and it says no and that it will be their forever I'm just scared this is a heart attack and that's it I'm gone forever.
Is it just a heart attack you worry about,or does it shift to other illnesses?
Like I posted before,I don't think I'll ever be a 100% free from anxiety, but I can handle with ease the 10% I do have. I very rarely get anxious now,but when I do,it's normally when my kids or parents get ill that sets it off. I went for years without feeling anxious, until one day my little lad was taken to hospital with an asthma attack. I got anxious, but what parent wouldn't,and I was fine once he was better. A part from my footy team, bank balance and my Missus's àrse everything in my life is sound, even tho I'm not 100% free from anxiety. You might not think it now mate, but you will get better,it just takes a bit of time. Anyhow, good luck Dom,and I hope Swansea rip Liverpool a new one on Monday. Up the Toffee's (I'm back).
It was shifting from illnesses like, I had bipolar then I was schizophrenic the thing that caused my first panic attack was that I was having a stroke and thats what caused it, but this time it doesn't seem to be moving on to another illness this time I'm getting pains in my chest in my neck and face and I seem to be worrying all the time I feel like its either Im having a heart attack or its angina.
