Anxiety help

Hi, new to the forum, I'm after some help, excuse the long winded post, I'm male 34 and really struggling every day with what I think (strangely hope is anxiety) I just can't get into my head the way I feel is because of anxiety I'm petrified I have heart problems. It started about 8 months ago when I was really stressed with work and was working ridiculous hours, I had a really dizzy spell went hot and pins n needles in my left arm I was convinced I was having a heart attack I sat down shaking and eventually symptoms eased off I went home and couldn't stop thinking about it, a few days later I was in bed and it happened again I called an ambulance I was shaking uncontrollably they did an ecg and said I was fine and said it was stress. Anyway since then I've not been myself and progressively I'm getting worse some days I feel I'm on deaths door. I went private and had a health check and all was good but that was 5 months ago. Recently I feel so ill every single day from the moment I wake until the moment my head hits the pillow. I have a pain in the centre of my chest which isn't there all the time but really hurts sometimes but I have constant breathing problems like my throat is closing up I have pains in my left arm sometimes sharp sometimes dull and my heart is all over the place I have no energy to do anything and can't be bothered to. I saw a cardiologist about a month ago and had a echocardiogram, ecg and a stress test they all came back ok and said to get some bloods done but I'm worried something has developed since then as symptoms seem to have got worse, I now have a sort of pulsating fizzing feeling in the back of my left arm and random headaches behind my right eye. I'm so stressed about it all its untrue I'm stressing about being stressed, I've just got the results back from the bloods and apparently some results are elevated but they won't tell me over the phone the notes say I need to be seen in person but I can't get in until Wednesday so I'm worried sick about it all! The breathing problems scares the crap out of me can it really be anxiety as its all constant!

Hey bud...I'm right there wiht you!

I just turned 40 and been dealing with this crap for about 3yrs.

Out of the blue I will get this empty/flutter in me chest, then my mind would take over and then I'd REALLY start to wonder if my next breath would be my last.

This happens every soften, and completely out of left field. Sometimes I'll have dull/sharp pains around my heart area (if that makes sense). Not PAINFULL, but they happen quick and gets me worried even more. I take Xanax, and it helps me alot. It takes things down a few knotches and calms me down, even tho I wasn't feeling stressed to gegin with...so weird. Once an anxiety symptom presents itself, it's all downhill from there! Sometimes it lasts a few days, other times it passes fairly quickly.

I've had all the tests done, too. EKG, blood work, stress test...all came back OK.

The blood work did come back as slightly high cholestoral, but hey, I like to eat good food, and don't care too much about excersising. I could stand to loose 20-30 lbs...but I'm not obese by any means.

I hate all this crap...sometimes I think i'm a gonner...sometimes it's more manageable.

Idk if any of my griping helps you out, but you're def not alone!

You'll find that out REALLY quick in here...this forum helped me realize there's a Ton of people that deal with this just like us, some have it worse than others.

So, in closeing, we're still alive to be complainning, so it must be, it Has to be stress/anxiety related!

At least that's what I tell myself until I do drop dead.

yes, this is anxiety since your heart tests were normal.

I know it's hard to believe!

Please see your GP and talk about this. You probably need meds and you certainly need therapy.

Keep posting! We're here for you.

Hi I suffer with anxiety have had it a long time, but as I was reading your post, I started to think did you have some inflammation in you body, and then they say your bloods are elevated.

I'm a lot older and you only get this when your older but some young people get it, it's PMR polymyalgia Rheumatica. and then I went on to get GCA which is giant cell arthritis, you get headaches with this, if you feel bad you should go to A n E seriously

Thanks for the replies guys! It really is a powerful thing for sure! I've spoke to my doctor and it's a nightmare as it's so difficult to get an appointment it's like a six week wait I've tried a few different meds but they all send my symptoms through the roof and I can't cope with it. Is Xanax the same as diazepam? I've eventually managed to get one to one therapy but that's over a week away.

I didn't have any inflammation, all my symptoms are worrying but the constant tight throat was concerning me most so did full blood count and thyroid etc. I rang for the results and they said I need to see the doc as some results are elevated.

Can't believe how bad the physical side of it can be, I not long got back from my honeymoon and it was ruined by all this I had no energy at all and tight throat in a hot country isn't the best, I wasn't sure if the anxiety was causing gerd
