Hello, I have had increasing levels of anxiety deriving from one panic attack mid-october which has led to me becoming slowly and more aware of general anxiety levels throughout the days, it got to the point where I developed a sense of depersonalisation throughout most of my conscious awareness. I struggled with this and the general anxiety which made me hang onto my ex girlfriend who I knew still loved me (as I split up with her) for emotional support to make myself feel better, this changed after she decided we should s5op speaking and eventually move on, which has led to me become depressed (linked in with the anxiety) I now struggle to maintain focus and revise for my university exams and experience long periods of depression. I have been taking 10mg citalopram for 1 week and recently updated to 20mg but have seen no results so far. Thanks.
Hi. It's early days for the citalopram to be really working for you. You may notice your symptoms get worse before they get better. I would say around the 6 week mark I noticed a real difference. I went from 20mg to 30mg after about 5 weeks and I think that made a difference too. Hang in there . Reach out on here if you have a bad day. We will always listen. Good luck
Thanks alot, this really helps and I will do.
