Hello. My name is Ben, I'm 27, and I've had chronic anxiety and depression off and on for about 10 years. At first, I just had a typical case (I think) of anxiety due to moving a lot, being slightly introverted and having trouble making friends. But as time has gone on I feel like my anxiety has become much more a part of my physiology. I have trouble exercising and sleeping due to shortness of breath, I feel nauseous almost all the time and have to force myself to eat, and I have more recently (in the last 5 years) started feeling very strange on my left side. It has always been difficult for me to relax, and I've always noticed that I'll spend a lot of extra time at night in bed trying to breathe deeply and get my heart to relax. But in these last few years my heart (or the area around my heart) has started feeling very strange. I feel a tingling/pressure sensation that changes a bit with my breathing, which feels very uncomfortable and sometimes even painful. It's hard to describe, but I basically just feel unable to breathe normally or like I can relax my heart properly. Oddly, I feel a similar sensation in one spot in my left foot. I have never been seriously injured anywhere in my body due to an accident. I have had panic attacks in the past, and I find myself having to monitor my heart rate and very carefully monitor what I do with and put into my body to avoid future episodes. If anyone has experienced something similar, or has any idea of what this sensation might be, please let me know. P.S. I have seen many different types of doctors and health care professionals, and none of them have found anything major wrong with me.
