i have generalized anxiety for a while now and tried so many antidepressants bit i thought it was making me worsr.i am constant thinking there is something wrong with me.i even have a cardiologist that ruled out everything je even said he doesnt want to be my dr because i have nothing heart related.xanax does help calm me down and stop being so anxious but none of my drs want to prescribe them to me.i have been on lexapro in the past and the only side effect i had was pressure in my head.is Lexapro worth another try? is there anything better with less or little to no side effects.is there a anxiety med like xanax or adivan that isnt a benzo?
its a lonely hard road…when i first took anxiety i was on citalopram 10mg it didnt work so i was upped to 20mg and was on it for about a year and it worked wonders for me - i was weaned off it and had no ill effects – i was 3 years off it when i had reoccuring symptoms and was prescribed propronal 80mg slow release but found it to be unaffective i also tried the propronal 10mg 4 times a day and no luck agsin so im back on the citalopram again starting at 10mg with a view to going stronger if need be - im going through a few side affects atm starting again but im really hopefull it will take affect in due course
