Anxiety or do I really have an std?!

i recently went to the doctor for a bump on my genital area and tingling leg sensations for over a week but my doctor said it was just a hair bump and to wait it out and see if anything changes. but honestly im freaking out! i cant eat or sleep or think. i feel sick because not knowing worries me and i have really bad anxiety when it comes to my health. i did make a bad choice by not using a condom with someone which was 5 weeks ago. i googled leg tingling and herpes was one of the things that came up, and since i saw that i feel like i have it and dont understand why else i would be having leg tingling. could this be a symptom of anxiety?? has anyone experienced this leg numbness in both legs?? HELP idk what to do or think its all ive been thinking about the past week its taking over my mind and i cant stop worrying

anxiety can definitely cause leg tingling. And yes, so can herpes .The doctor thought it was a hair bump. all you can do is wait it out and see if it goes away on its own.
if it does it’s probably not herpes. However don’t be intimate with anybody until you know for sure. They do have a blood test to determine if you’ve ever been exposed to it.
If it turns out to be herpes then it is what it is. herpes is a skin annoyance. It’s basically a cold sore down there. you would just have to inform people that you plan on becoming intimate with and use a condom. Always always use condoms whether you have that or not! There are way worse things you could get than herpes that are life-threatening.
i hope you don’t have it but even if you do you can still live a happy life. Take care of yourself.

thanks alot jan! i usually always use condoms, idk why i didnt i made a stupid mistake and i hope its not too late for me because i have learned my lesson safety first! its just not worth the anxiety. i think i will end up getting the blood test anyway just so i can be in the know. the bump has gome down some since i seen it tuesday. i pray i am okay! thanks for your words

same here i didnt use condom i had bad testical pain my leg hurt i did std BLOOD and urine test 1 week came negative then 4 week negative im waiting 8 week and 12 week to be sure im worry. i pray that you will be fine.
