Anxiety or heart disease?

So il try to keep this short and two the point. 2 years ago I smoked weed after quitting for a couple of months and had my first anxiety attack. Heart racing/pounding, could not breath, ears ringing. Also I was going through the hands down most hardest part of my 26 years of life when this attack occurred. A couple of days go by, try smoking again and same thing. So I figure ok, that's what's causing it. Two days later, it happened all on it's own. Go to the doctor with horrible chest pains after the 3rd one. Runs an EKG and blood work, all is well. Says its anxiety. The chest pain is on and off at this point, still scary, go back and say shes wrong. Now to get a little personal, I was 320lbs, 6.0ft yall, eat like crap and smoke a pack of cigs a day. I wasnt always heavy, through the ages of 16-22 I was in very good shape, ran 3 miles a day and lifted. there is heart disease in the family but all due to life style choices and diabetes. So to continue, she said given my current weight and that I smoke, she sent me to a cardiologist. He listened to my heart for literally 10 minutes and said my heart sounds great, but given my symptoms he did an echocardiogram for safe measures. Everything came back fine. When I looked at the results, I noticed some ranges that were considered "abnormal" and he said it was fine. Took the test results for a second opinion by one of the top cardiologists in Illinois, said it was perfectly fine, even with the slight abnormal ranges. Flash forward over two years, I have chest pain every day, like on the left side under my man boob, and shoulder pain in my left arm that radiates down my arm. I'm convinced there is something really wrong with my heart, that I have a clogged artery or heart failure. The pain is every day, even when I'm having fun and have no care in the world!? How could this be anxiety!? I am on lexapro for almost a year now, had good results up until now. The chest pain never really went fully away but it was like 90% gone. I recently started a new job a month ago and I'm currently working two jobs, but I feel like it's not anxiety. I've seen multiple doctors, had multiple test, but I'm not convinced. I have lost weight, now I'm down to 289 so 40lbs and have cut back significantly on smoking so I'm trying to make improvements but I feel like I was knocked back 10 steps :(

Chest pain is super scary. I developed anxiety last year and also suffered from it. I was also convinced I had a heart problem (and occasionally still do). I had pain for weeks at a time, saw four different doctors at different times for different types of chest pain and they all told me the same thing. My primary doctor even did an EKG when I complained about missed beats but he said it was fine.

If you have had the tests, chances are the doctors are right. I have to remind myself of this all the time. Just know you aren’t alone.
