Anxiety or more

Hi All, been having anxiety since just before the lock down (went off work) ive had alot eg short of breath chest pain and tightness couldnt eat or sleep didnt want to speak leg shaking i was put on meds and calmed me a little. i then had to go back to work for a week, was a wreck when i cane home (only me there and one other) not near, mask and gloves worn. since ive had feeling sick dizzy feeling cold exhausted no energy headaches lump in throat / have reflux runny nose or bunged up last night i woke every hour! paranoid cant switch off stare into space is this anxiety? is my body stressed?? isit more??? im always checking my sats and covid test last week was negative.

Sounds like you are completely stressed out. All of your symptoms can be related to stress and anxiety. you don’t have a fever or cough and your most recent test was negative.
you can take more control by taking care of yourself.
if you are watching too much news about Covid, turn it off. When we fill up our mind with so much fear and negativity, it’s going to cause symptoms of anxiety. It does no good and the news is basically the same every day. Basically, if you just take the precautions recommended regarding the virus, there’s a low chance that you will get it.
Now it’s time to focus on yourself and the anxiety management.

  1. for the majority of the time, keep the news off
  2. eat healthy foods, including vitamins, stay hydrated with water
  3. do you things that make you feel happy. Watch a funny movie, do some hobby you enjoy, walk in nature keeping your distance, whatever makes you feel more lighthearted.
  4. there’s no need to be constantly checking your sats. just doing that creates more anxiety.
  5. if you can’t sleep, listen to some great meditations on YouTube for anxiety. They are really helpful! There are some great ones called mindfulness meditation‘s that keep you focused on the right thing. you can also exercise as long as you’re not right near other people. Exercise helps you sleep better.
  6. remember, whatever we think about whether it’s positive or negative, it will expand! You’ve got to put more positive thoughts into your head. that’s the only way you’re going to start feeling physically better.
you can do this, just be determined that you’re not going to let fear make you physically sick. Take care of yourself

No, all those symptoms you described are anxiety. Are you coming off any medications ? Are you stressed from you job ? Are you getting enough sleep ? I love the fact that you listed the symptoms. Something is triggering you to feel this way, and you are not alone. Have you had a particularly hard time since the lock down or did you have anxiety before then. Are you scared of catching the virus and dying maybe (Like we all are )? The virus is out of your control, you can only be as safe as you can be, the rest is up to god. If god wants you to catch the virus, there’s nothing you can do about it. You are not going to die because of it, its like a bad flu. But its out of your control, so there is no sense worrying about it. Anyway, get back to me, I would like some more information.

hi,

yes i came off diazepam last week.
since coming off that i have not been sleeping well. last night i woke up every hour.

never had anxiety before all since the week before lock down.

coming off diazepam can cause alot of them symptoms, I had a horrible few days after coming off them and felt super poorly and scared, cramps, leg numbness etc.. wasn’t nice at all. but alot of them symptoms are also caused by anxiety, I’m going through the same thing. you’re not alone x

I came off of Lorezapam last week and sleep has sucked and shortness of breath started.
