Hi Christina I know what your going through , I'm experiencing some of your symptoms as well especially the sore head and strong intense headaches off and on . anxiety really is a burden , hope you feel better soon
Hi Christina - I have long experience of anxiety. I am not now in my youthful years, even so, anxiety will still hit me when least expexted. One aspect of anxiety I suffer from is agraphobia. Brought on from 12 years of intermittant vertigo from an ear condition. Having had four holidays spoilt. Three days ago I book-up for a nights stay away from home for my wife and myself. When making the booking I felt fine. However, the following day I suddenly had this dreadful panic attack, no way could I be away from home for a night, I became dreadfully weak, my arms flopped to the sides, I just had to lye down, otherwise I was going to collapse on to the floor. A few hours later I rang the hotel and cancelled the booking. Immediately my strength returned, I was smiling, and left the house to take a 30 minute fast walk, amazed that anxiety could have caused me to feel so weak and effect me in that way.
I take sertraline, not a high dose, but I had stopped taking it some weeks agao, now I am back on it. It has not yet taken effect properly, but I think that it will in about a week or so.
But the question remains, HOW and WHERE can people like us get help. I do think that internet site's like this one can help quite a lot. Listening to others and feeling that your not alone is very important. I probably have'nt offered much help to you myself, but I find that having the effects of stress and anxiety on the body explained by a proffessional is a good starting point. How the brain effect our body is really amazing. My GP was helpful up to a point, but specialist knowledge is required. One site I did fine helpful was the Northumberland Tyne and Wier NHS site of helpful booklets that can be downloaded to your computer, it might be worth you looking at that. Good luck, and try to keep smiling. PS Shall I book that hotel room again, not sure yet, but I am luck to have a wife who takes it all and never complains
Hello, I've also been having some of the same symptoms, you defintley need to make sure you eat something. Also drinking a glass of water helps a lot! also take some deep breaths, but it defintley sounds like anxiety!
