I am sorry this is scaring you. Test results can do that to us.
However, this is something that you can actually do something about.
There are a couple reasons for elevated cholesterol. One of them being heredity. Do either of your parents have it?
and the second reason is diet and lifestyle. Cholesterol can elevate when we have a diet that is rich in saturated fats such as red meat, full fat dairy products, sugar, etc. that can cause us to gain weight which in turn raises cholesterol levels .
lack of exercise also contributes to this.
this is really nothing to panic about because you can definitely do something about this.
Take action by :
- if you haven’t already, change your diet and focus more on plant-based foods such as vegetables, fruits, salads, and increase fiber.
- eat foods rich in omega-3 such as wild caught fish. This increases your HDL which is your good cholesterol!
3.when choosing meat, choose lean chicken, turkey, and eat limit amounts of red meat. - avoid smoking
- limit dairy products made from whole milk. Also limit saturated vegetable oil‘s such as coconut oil, palm oil
- eat more soluble fiber with whole grain bread, kidney beans, oats, quinoa, etc.
- Start reading labels before you buy any food product to make sure you’re getting healthier ingredients
- Exercise exercise exercise! Even if it’s just walking 30 minutes daily or three days a week.
Exercise actually INCREASES your good cholesterol which are the HDLs and help to protect your heart and arteries!
you can find so much information on this on the Internet including recipes, healthy choice foods to eat, etc.
Stay aware that anxiety will make you think things in the most negative way. Of course cholesterol level is important however it is modifiable. You’re going to be OK.
don’t google please because that will scare you for no reason. All it does is make you feel miserable. you can turn it all around by changing your thinking on this and being more positive and proactive! besides, even if somebody’s cholesterol got too high, there is medication that can keep it at the proper level. I’m sure you don’t want to do that so the best thing for you right now is lifestyle changes. if you don’t mind sharing, what was your cholesterol level? every doctor is different when they look at the levels. Some of them that want to put you on medication when it’s well below 200 and others don’t worry about it even if it’s over 200. Anyway, I hope this helps! Remember, worry doesn’t change anything and it actually said she backwards. Be determined to make changes and stay positive!
this made me feel better thank you so much for this.!!! Im definitely going to take this advice!!!
sorry if some of my writing didn’t come out right. LOL it’s that talk texting that does that. I’m so glad that you are going to be proactive with your health! That’s definitely a step in the right direction and when you are healthy you can be whole , and feel great, and these things are the absolute best gift that you can give your baby!
( and yourself )
