I have mild pain and discomfort on my lower left leg, down to the foot, been to see a doctor a few weeks about it and the pain and stiffness in my neck and arm. He did some testing on my leg by tapping the knee, he said my legs were fine, and so was my neck, but said the neck muscles seem tight.
I am getting treatment for generalised anxiety and mild depression also social anxiety.
Is it likely this is all anxiety?
There are times where I feel frustrated about something, is this enough to cause this?
my chest does feel full when I walk and do something that involves standing, like an anxiety feeling especially with my footband leg feeling uncomfortable and also get tension headaches especially when massaging or pinching the muscle.
Had this last year on my right leg, now its the left.
What can I do to relieve it, it's scary and uncomfortable.
Hiya , ive got the same problem with my left leg. Pin and needless, leg is weak as well. Its like ive got foot drop. Its either trapped nerve or it caused by iron deficiency (in my case). Going to have MRi scan. I suffer with anxiety. My all muscles are tensed. Especially in my shoulders and neck. We are so stressed that we even dont realize we are tensed. Anxiety can cause nerve trapping. Thats what my doctor told me.
Hi I wold consult a physio for an assessment as this sounds as though the problem is arising from your neck/thoracic spine.
Yeah, it's a scary feeling though, I don't feel it much when I'm doing something, i.e cleaning the car today, hopefully it'll just go soon, it's annoying.
All the best with the MRI hope you get well soon too
The doctor had a feel on my neck said there's nothing wrong with it, ifit doesn't get better I'll go back, not sure if I need a referal first before going to physio.
Thank you 😘all the best xx
You do need to be reffered to physio by GP.xx
If you go privately you can self refer. You just need an assessment then take the Report to the GP tio get the process speeded up for an NHS referral.
