Here's my everyday symptoms
Leg weakness, feeling like my legs won't work,
Always feeling like I'm going to fall or pass out, feeling dizzy, numb, off balance, derealization duing panic attacks.
Feeling like I'm sick, always going to die, like my heart is going to stop , like I can't breath
I never have no joy, I never go no where other then church and some church events and to even get threw church I have to take half of a vaulim sometimes that doesn't even help.
I have had blood work done 5 tubes of blood took
Cbc and all normal. A 48 heart montor and ehco on my heart I'm waiting to the results
I'm 26 year old mother my kids are 2 and 5
I'm house bound I don't even want to go to the store, I don't want to be alone, I don't have any joy I don't know what to do. How could all of this be in my head ? How could this all be just from anxiety
Has anyone else ever been threw this and it be so extreme? How do I get over this and get my life back. One other question to the ladies
Has your anxiety/panic attacks ever been worse duing periods?
Going through it now. I have a lot of the same symptoms as you with some other ones. Mine has been going on for nearly 3 weeks now. 6 er visits, cardiologist, primary care, neurologist. No one has found anything wrong. In my mind either something is very wrong, or it's anxiety. Both are equally terrifying. Just try to take solice in every clean medical test.
I don't have an exact answer but I know what your going through because I have the same problem I experience the same symptoms daily I have Generalized Anxieyy and OCD so I've had everything there is too have I'm not on medication but I am in therapy sometimes it helps just to know your not alone and your not
I don't know much about this condition but my heart goes out to you all that suffer, just a thought tho has anyone tried hypnosis? there's a couple on this morning who help people with all kinds of anxiety problems, I hope you find some answers soon 😊
Yes I am 23 year old female with a 3 year old! I have suffered from health anxiety for 3 years it's awful I have tons of physical symptoms! My mind never shuts off! I have stared at myself in the mirror crying and begging God to help me get through this! I'm not enjoying life I'm just existing
I live your life every single day been 7 years for me. I haven't had any meds for it at all. Because I get scared of the side effects so I suffer. I'm a single mom 33 years old 3 kids very active in my church . I struggle sometimes to even get out of bed.its all gonna be ok i have hope that there will be some answer to why this happens. U can talk to me anytime
Your not alone sista !!!!! I do the exact same thing all the time it's so had when you look normal but your insides are screaming HELP! IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT KNOWS!
Hi Brittany
Yes I've had lots of similar symptoms. The problem with a health anxiety is that once you get medical reassurance for one thing another symptom can then become a focus of worry so it turns into a never ending cycle of having tests, feeling temporarily better and then something else cropping up.
Obviously if you are having physical symptoms then get these medically checked out but if the tests come back clear then I really would recommend some CBT therapy for your anxiety. There are lots of good books out there that you can do from home but it takes lots of practice and repeating the techniques around challenging thoughts and I have found that having a set appointment to go to every week has helped me to stick with it as you can easily fall back into old unhelpful ways of thinking.
Also try some guided meditation to help you to relax a little - there are lots of YouTube videos for this.
There really is a light at the end of the tunnel, it just takes some work and perseverance to get there but stick with it because it will be so worth it. It's very difficult to understand the huge impact that anxiety can have unless you've experienced it. Just know that you're not on your own in going through it and that you are strong enough to beat it!!
Lots of luck!!
I'm also very big in the church and I ask God to help me all the time I don't know what it's gonna take to conquer this anxiety! I go to the doctors office all the time for reassurance because I have really bad health anxiety but then I don't believe the doctors I have some really scary anxiety symptoms so it causes me a lot more distress
I go through this vicious cycle of symptoms almost daily I'll go to the doctor and get reassurance for one symptom and then another one keeps up I just went to the doctor because I thought I was having a brain aneurysm and I wasn't and then now more symptoms have creeped up now that I'm not worried about that one anymore it's terrible and keeps me from living a normal life
It's horrible isn't it!! My anxiety started snowballing into panic attacks which is why I finally pushed myself to do the CBT therapy and although I'm not totally over the health anxiety totally and am still experiencing some symptoms I'm feeling less panic than I did. I really would reccomend giving it a try if you can...it's all about recognising anxious thoughts and then challenging them!
I do see a therapist but not on a weekly basis I only see her when I need to I'm thinking about going to see a psychiatrist. Do you take medication
I am the same way I feel like I'm just existing in life I never enjoy anything!!!
My mom told me just today I miss the old you, the happy just outgoing you. It feels like the real me has just let and it breaks my heart
I feel the same! I want to enjoy things so much with my son and my family but my anxiety holds me back to much
Thank you so much! I have never really had anyone to talk to and it makes me feel so much better that I am not alone I pray we all win this battle!!!
I also cry a lot! Like over everything
Hey Brittany. I have two 4 year old twins, and if I didn't have them, I think that my life would seem joyless. Even though the panic attacks (which I've had for over 13 years) make my life seem unbearable, seeing my children's faces make it all worth it. I know I sound like a useless hallmark card - but sometimes even looking at their photos makes my panic attack subside quicker than it would if I were just sitting there crying about how my left arm is going numb.
I think a lot of the same questions that you do. How could I worry to the point when I was younger that it would cause all of this to happen in my body ? It drove me absolutely crazy. I've learned to accept it over the years though. It's just something quirky about me. Being an anxiety suffer doesn't make me special, and neither does suffering from panic attacks. But what has made me feel better, is simply knowing that other people suffer from the things that I do. It makes me feel less crazy.
I hadn't noticed if they are worse during my periods. I know they are worse when I stay up late or eat a lot of greasy foods so I've changed my diet and I've also tried going to bed earlier.
Hope this helps !
The only way to get over anxiety and health anxiety is to learn to not be afraid of the fear. It's really hard to do, but it's the way out.
First, you have to walk or run for 10 minutes starting tomorrow. Add one minute per day. If you're housebound, do it inside, If you can get outside to do it, then do that. You are proving to your brain that your are OK and there is nothing to fear.
Drink lots of water
Take magnesium and a multi vitamin, All of this stress steals our nutrients and makes us worse.
Meditate at least once a day.
Do one yoga move per day, Add to it as you feel better.
Eat three good meals a day.
Avoid sugar and caffeine.
I have found our nerves are broken, and just like anything that's broken it needs time to heal.
Check with your docs, but try this approach and let's check in with each other and see how it's working.
Stay strong.
Thank you so much!! I will forsure give all this a try starting first thing tomorrow
I feel you! All these physical symptoms are scaring the crap out of me EVERYDAY. I'm living with them for like 5 years now. The past couple of years, the symptoms had actually subsided. I thought they were already all gone. But recently, about 2 months ago, they all came back and have even become worse. I feel dizzy everyday, from the moment I wake up and all throughout the day. I always feel like I'm going to pass out or I'm gonna die. I feel edgy all the time. But then, I keep telling myself that these are just all in my mind. And these past few days, my "self talking" seem to have worked because now, I still feel dizzy but I am not that afraid anymore. When I think I'm about to pass out, I welcome the thought and just let it slide without driving it away. I'm doing good so far.
