Anxiety/panic - losing my mind ?

Sometimes docs give xanax to offset the first few weeks these anxiety drugs effects until they begin to work. Cbt is a great help to teach you how to ratiinalize your thoughts.

Thank you Lisa for replying. I'm constantly trying to remember who I was before this and I seem almost strange to myself but at same time know who I am. Pretty scary and it sets off my panic

Thank you. I have sat with my girlfriend and told her everything, every little detail. It was hard but I'm so glad she knows she's been a huge help. The whole depersonalisation/ de relisation is a bother although now I'm learning more I know they are all symptoms of anxiety. I'm praying come this time next month, I'm back here good as knew help others through theirs.

Thank you. I appreciate your reply. It's a horrible fear to have but learning more about it, it is just that, an offshoot of fear from anxiety. I think what if I have this? What if I have that? Have they missed something ? But I guess that's anxiety doing its thing

Embrace it and let it get on with whatever It wants to do. Accept it and stop fighting it! That's what I was told. 

I've just listened to a phycologist in America and he said they exact same thing. Can I ask, did you have the same problem as me ?

Yes Allan I am in the same boat as you! The anxiety is completely ruining my life. I am also bipolar so they won't give me SSRI meds which makes things more difficult as I am limited. 

Do you get the really floating feeling ? I have it constant just now. Just remember it's only irrational thoughts, they fill never see out

I get that feeling all the time. Also feels like I'm really stoned but I don't smoke weed so that's not possible. It's really a scary feeling.

I do and I also get really bad health anxiety with pains all over my body. I get frequent panic attacks and I can't breathe properly. It's very stressful. Because I can't breathe I get more attacks and then I look for things. It never ends!! 

It's scary and just when you think it can't get any worse the anxiety throws something new your way!! 

Yeah same ! That's what mAkes me lay down in bed. Hate it

Forget the past. This will be the new improved you at some point. You have a lot of work ahead of you. Your body has forged some really bad habits and has attached you to shooting off the fight or flight. Younhave to learn about what younhave, ways to address it and apply what you learn. Whilst learning this your body will keep trying to drag you to have anxiety. Any bad habit you change comes with feeling ansy and setbacks.cbt is wonderful bases to guide you. Work hard at it and apply it so when in a few months or so to wean off whatever meds you are using you mind and body are prepared to move forward.

Believe im right. Believe. This is about retraining your mind and body. It will only work when you change your thoughts and your reactions/behaviors. Fight for yourself ok. Its a lot of work.
