Hello I think i have anxiety illness now after taking a high dose of prednisone last month. My doctor said prednisone can highly cause anxiety problem. After stopping the prednisone I started feeling I had muscle ache all over my body and got a lot of rumblings in my stomach which i don't have before my heart also beats at over 90 bpm too even at rest. I am really nervous of what is happening to me. Is this a normal anxiety symptoms or something else? If this is anxiety how can i get rid of this????
Ohhh and i think this all started last month when i thought that my bells palsy is a stroke because of googling all of my symptoms and ever since that day i became anxious that my bells palsy is a stroke even when my doctor said it is just a bells palsy and not a stroke.
Not sure anxiety is something you ever get rid of. More like manage. We all have anxiety just at different levels. I would go back to your doctor and discuss how you are feeling with him. There are very effective meds to help deal with anxiety. Only you and your doctor can plan what will work best for you. Just know that your case sounds pretty mild to me. And probably could be handled very easily once you consult your doctor. May be just your body reacting to the prednisone or there lack of. See your doctor.
Is the rumblings in my stomach and random muscle aches part of the anxiety?
Yes, very much so. How ever there are other things it could be as well. Best bet is to get check out from head to toe first. Rule out everything else. I have anxiety disorder (generalized), I am on 3 different meds. Nexeum for the stomach (acid blocker), lexepro for the head (serotonin regulator), and xanex for the panic attacks, muscle spasms, ticks, twitches and heart pounding. Works pretty well for me, but everyone is different. Get a good doctor and start meds asap. Meds take awhile to build up in your system to start working. So the sooner you address these issues and get meds, the sooner you will feel better.
