hi everyone. i want to know am I the only one out here facing an anxiety of getting rabbies...a sick cat bite me weeks ago. even thou it didn't look like it had rabies seemed like it had a stroke or something. plus it was old too. I did take my vaccination in time same day itself. plus erig. thing is i keep looking for symptoms of rabies in me everyday. and this is kiling me. i have a neck pain . when i try to sleep i feel tremors and fast heart beat. is it something to worry about?????
worrying and checking yourself constantly is only going to make your anxiety worse. you took the vaccine and they are very potent and effective. the tremors and fast heartbeat are your anxiety. you are NOT going to die. relax, go out and live your life. if you had symptoms of rabies you would absolutely know it. fever, sweating, convulsions, of which you are experiencing none. besides you are guessing that the cat who bit you had rabies, you dont know that for sure unless they did an autopsy on the cat. the cat make have looked weak and sick but that does not mean it had rabies. relax and stop worrying, get out of your own head. go for a walk, get some fresh air. excercise and fresh air will do wonders for you and help you to sleep as well. you can always call your GP and see what they think as well. but i think you are going to be just fine.
You don’t have rabies, but if nothing else would convince you, go check on the cat, if you can. If it had rabies it would be dead already. Vaccine is effective my daughter has degree in biochemistry and knows a lot about rabies. She was bit by a stray raccoon, which by the way are known carriers, unlike cats. She received vaccine and 6 years later and she’s fine. Stay calm your fine.

just a quick question, do you realize you posted each of your replies 4 times each? just curious if theres a reason.
it was sick already…and died…i was trying to feed it… it obviously bite me after getting irritated…
unless you had the cats body examined, how do you know it had rabies? he could have died from many other things. besides you got vaccinated and the vaccine is very effective. do yourself a favor and stop worrying about it. you are going to drive yourself crazy. you could always call your doctor and have him check you out to put your mind at ease. or you could just take a deep breath, tell yourself you dont have rabies and go about your life. but if you cant manage to do that, see your doctor and maybe him telling you you dont have rabies will ease your mind.
i get it …but when i try to sleep my left face gets numb and my head gets heavy which disturbs my sleep…what shall i do about it
stop worrying. take a sleep aid. raise your head up with an extra pillow. could be sinuses or allergies you do or dont know you have. dust pollen and mold and dust are everywhere. allergies or sinus problems can cause your head to feel like that. if your face gets numb, perhaps you are cutting off blood circulation to it by having to hard a pillow or mattress. could also be low blood pressure. just saying.
