How long does the anxiety last while starting celexa? On 10 mg for 13 days. Will it go away soon?

citalopram has too build up in your system,this may take 8/10 weeks

Hi Nancy,

My symptoms leveled out after a month and a half. I’ve been on it for a year now and can say it does get better. If you still feel bad after 2 months consider speaking with your doctor/pharmacist.

Thanks for input, I was on citalopram for 9 yrs, felt great, just wanted to be drug free, went off, big mistake. Trying to get back on it now, harder than I remember

Anxiety is bad, even using lorazapam. Sure it would be worse without it. Trying to hang in there. Thanks for support.

you and me also.I was on 40mgs citrolopram  for 8 yrs,and i thought the same ,came off the medication,and 2 weeks later i ended up with ibs ,so now i have come back on it and taken 20 mgs

I’m not going to even try coming off cit. I’m staying on it. I like my new life. I remember the anxiety. It will go. That’s my experience. Hang in there.
