Anxiety/stress when walking?

For as long as I can remember Ive had problems walking, it sounds like such a simple thing but to me it's hell. I'm a lifeguard and I walk around poolside for most of the day but my anxiety causes me to worry about what people think of the way I walk as I've always been told I walk with such a stiff back and still get told to this day. I look at myself walking in the windows and agree it's weird. This causes my body to stiffen up even more because of the stess and worry. I don't know why I care about what people think but I just do.

I just can't relax when I walk..

The more u focus on it (walking) the more awkward/stiff it becomes. This happens to me when I focus on it too much. Try not to pay attention to it

If you always been told..unfortunately it can worsen it. With practice you can stop caring what people think. It people pleasing..it do nothing but cause you insecure and needless burden..start realising such thinking as selfish and wrong are your first steps. Stop agreeing to it..don't react is how. Be more self assurance..find peace in this.

I spent 30 years worrying about what others think and believe me, it’s a complete waste of time!  We may think people care  about what we look like, how we walk, what we wear etc. but they don’t.

People, especially today, are so wrapped up in themselves and their lives.

Plus never assume what you THINK other people are thinking . Even if they look directly at you they may be thinking something entirely different. They may not be thinking about you at all.  Basically, it doesn’t matter what they are thinking because they’re not a part of your life.

You are putting way too much pressure on yourself. Just be yourself otherwise if you place importance on what you think other people are thinking,  and let it affect you, you will never have a solid  concept of who you are.

You will always be trying to please people really don’t matter in your life. That’s too much work because you’ll never please everybody.

Enjoy your life and  Be you!
