I suffer from severe depression and anxiety. I currently take Abilify and Zoloft. I started noticing about 10 years ago that I sweat all the time! It's so gross! I'm at the end of my rope! I've dont lots of research and have found several medications that supposedly dont cause sweating and my dr was kind enough to try me on them. I cant take ativan anymore because I had to choose either I cant walk or I would be on my nerve medicine. The ativan helped me so much. If anyone out there suffers from horrible sweating because of the antidepressants, please let me know how you cope with it.
yeah sertraline ( zoloft ) makes me sweat buckets but ive been a big sweater most of my life ( which is why i dread summer😂
my face can be like a water fall at times especially during anxiety. i have not tryed any meds for it as my doctor said there is not much there can be done as its just the way my body works. ive just had to live with it the best i can unfortunately 😔. make sure you drink lots of ice cold water it can take the edge of the sweating.
I have been on antidepressants for many years and I was told there wasnt much that could be done about the sweating too, but i started doing research and found several clinical trials on certain medications. I was so excited! Maybe some help! My dr is very flexible and has tried changing a few of my medicines to the ones that they recommend to help with sweating. I can say, oxybutinin has helped tremendously. I just started 2 new ones, i will let you know if they are effective. I'm so excited that they are taking the sweating side effects seriously. Hopefully there will be an eventual cure.
