Anxiety symptoms for 8 months now

Hello I'm a 23 year old male and believe I have anxiety disorder. It started in January when the symptoms were mind blowing.

I had severe diarrhoea for at least 3 weeks long, severe dizziness to where I kept thinking I would pass out. I also had a fast heart rate, weakness, severe acid reflux and even a vibrating sensation In the morning in my upper left back.

I had blood test which showed very slight liver inflammation which I was told it's nothing to worry about at all. They then believed it was anxiety but I still worry to think Is it my liver? But I don't have many of the symptoms at all, no jaundice or leg swelling or weight on stomach.

I just don't know what to do now, I'm in a trapped cycle and can't get out. My symptoms now are Lower compared to when first diagnosed. I still get dizziness, vibrating sensations, pressure in my ears and head. Occasional acid reflux and diarrhoea. I just would love to beat this, the symptoms are still there and I'm worried constantly that I'll die. Can anyone help?

Yep sounds like the old anxiety alright.

If you haven't already been prescribed anti anxiety meds then you should seek this from your doctor as this will calm the racing thoughts.

Firstly you ain't gonna die.

This is so common to think like that. I did once and guess what folks I'm still here.

If this is causing u diarrhoea then sounds like you got anxiety quite bad. YOU WILL BEAT THIS but it will take time and effort but you've been a soldier so far I can tell you have the guts to beat it.

It's all about changing your thought patterns to positive ones and I mean actively thinking positive outcomes to your thinking instead of I'm gonna die. As I said it will take crime and effort.

Go see ur gp as first step.

😃

Oh god don't turn to crime please, I meant time.

Hello Phil, thanks for your positive reply. It goes to show there is great people in humanity who want to help others.

I've had this for 8 months now and am thinking on going counselling to get my thought patterns better.

Thanks for the advice, I think having anxiety and being open and talking to people about it helps to alleviate the symptoms slightly.

I'm a University student and I don't want this in the way as it's making it an unpleasant experience. Uni is supposed to be the best years of your life.

Yet again thanks for your positivity

Your welcome Dean.

Yes this is an imp time in ur life. It's all about confidence. Confidence is not just, I can feel comfortable and talk to anyone. Confidence comes when people sincerely understand one another, especially when sharing fears. U gotta find the right people I guess which is really hard especially at uni.

Ranting on here.

Good luck, you will beat this. It's a test, find out about anxiety and all there is to know about it. Find out what ur triggers are. And love urself not despite your symptoms but because of them.

😃

Yes dean you have anxiety, and panic, suks I know. All of us here suffer from anxiety, and panic. I have been doing well for 9 yrs on medication. Time for you to go see your family doc,and nip this in the bud. Your anxiety can get a whole lot worse. Every day a new symptom, I have been there done that. Take care of it now.

Thanks, means a lot. I will look into it and hopefully I will eventually beat this. I never give up on anything and will never drop out of uni just because of this. I really want to make my family proud of me.

Thanks a lot

Well that just says it all. Ur a fighter.

😃

Hello Kimberly, I have been told if it lasts more than 6 months it's a disorder. I've been told to nip it in the bud as it can drag on.

I sympathise with you, 9 years is horrendous. I hope it goes away for you. Anxiety just takes over your life doesn't it. The symptoms are still horrible at this moment but when first diagnosed it was horrendous.

Hope you get well soon
