Anxiety that I am going to suffer a brain aneurysm

hello im 21 years old and i am have been dealing with health anxiety for the last 2 years. it comes and goes a few weeks im ok ans then i start to get scared. this time its about if i am going to suffer a brain aneursym.. i get these headaches all the time now. all around my head or just on one side and i am sick of it!! its just headaches no dizziness or nausea or anything like rhat. over the summer i was getting lots of headaches that i got a CT scan and everything came out normal. im stilll so scared though!! please help

have you had your eyes testes to see if you need glasses and do you wear blue light blocking glasses when you are on your phone/computer/watching TV? Too much blue light from our devices can cause headaches. I find i get less when i wear my glasses that block blue light.

im sorry you were so scared but remember the CT scan came back just fine. It would have shown something if it was there but there was nothing there. Headaches are extremely common and there are so many reasons for them 99.9% of the reasons are not serious headaches is actually the number one physical complaint that people have, The vast majority due to nothing serious.
. People get headaches from all sorts of things including sinus issues, anxiety and stress, looking at computer screens or iPhones for too long a period, brightness turned on too high on computers or cell phones, dehydration, needing glasses, muscle tension in the back and neck, and on and on.is it possible that health anxiety that you have could be causing this? It’s definitely something to think about.
if this was an aneurysm, by now you would be very ill. my dad at age 75 had one, it’s not very common in young people .
getting some counseling for your health anxiety would be very beneficial for you. You can get some support that way in managing anxiety. And remember that most of the things we worry about or fear never happen.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having! I’m sure there’s lots you can do to get a handle on things though. It’s a shame these things aren’t taught in school, but there are a lot of activities you can practice to gain better control of your thoughts.
Practices like meditation, mindfulness, breathing exercises, and yoga can help a lot! Check it out:

Here’s one for you to get started with:

  1. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed
  2. Breath in through your nose until your lungs are full up
  3. Breath out through your mouth and make a whoosh sound
  4. Breath in through your mouth until your lungs are full up
  5. Breath out through your nose

This is proven to lower your heart rate and it gives you something to concentrate on. This can be really useful rather than diving straight into meditating, where you may find it difficult to think about nothing at all (and many people find it irritating).

Hope this helps!
