Anxiety won't go away

Hi,

I have terrible health anxiety for almost 4 months. I'm pretty sure I have suffered from OCD, GAD, and hypochondria my whole life. In the past month I attempted to stop drinking alcohol. I suffered through numerous panic attacks. I have good days and bad days. During the day I worry a lot. At night when I attempt to sleep I get muscles twitches that drive me crazy. It's almost if my anxiety symptoms bring more anxiety. I had full bloodwork done and everything is fine. The Dr. prescribed lexapro and buspar. The buspar seems worthless so I stopped taking it. The lexapro takes a while to work so no relief yet. Today I suffered an anxiety attack and my left arm and hand was really weak. I guess I just need reassurance this is just all anxiety and nothing else.

I have health anxiety too. I avoid doctors though. I am so happy you went for blood work at least you know everything is Okay. I never know. I sit here and wonder if I am okay.

When one stops drinking alcohol it certainly can lead to the anxiety becoming worse. Tell your doctor. It does eventually even out again, but I think it numbs the system for a while (like any drug) and then when it's gone the numbness goes away. I hope you feel better. x

My first anxiety attack i was rushed to hospital in an ambulance because i thought it was a heart attack. My whole left side went numb you could see my heart pounding on my chest and i was blacking out. Drs said it was an anxiety attack.....
