Is there any thing that helps with anxiety other than medication.

Various forms of psychotherapy are just as or more effective as medication

Hi. I've suffered on and off with anxiety for years ... Finally decided this time round to do more than just take medication. I've have literally tried everything and honestly what works for me is counselling, hypnotherapy and tapping. Anxiety is all your thought process. Change that and you'll change everything. X

There r many self help books on the market for aphelping anxiety.

mindfeullness and meditation r in the book called...training a wild elephant OR try meditation  through yoga, hypnotism offer various techniques..

Google UR question lots of odeas will pop up. Personally mindfeullness meditation has help and thru rough times I admit I turn to meds .

everyone is different. What may help u may not work for others vice a versa...

Hi thanks for the reply if you don't mind me asking what are the medication like for you does it put you mind a ease ? Does it make it any easier and are they any downfalls of taking them

Hi. I've always taken the meds when things get bad. I find it takes about 6 weeks to start working and for me to notice a difference. I would def say (for me anyway) there was something underlying. Took me about 6 months of counselling to 'get it out' but now I feel like I know what it is it's like a massive weight off me. I also would suggest looking at _____ if you haven't already as some really useful info x

There a lot of things that help with anxiety, besides sedating medications.

Sometimes bad anxiety can trigger revelations, such as necessary lifestyle changers for the better. Its not necessarily a bad idea to take a break from your current lifestyle, and attempting to cultivate a healthier one.  The most effective treatment for anxiety and panic attacks, is exercise. Hands down, there is no substitute for consistent exercise.  However, there are a few supplements ive taken that have helped me deal with my panic attacks. Things that are worth looking into are ashwagandha, taurine, and theanine. All of these have a lot of beneficial health properties, and are pretty effective at reducing anxiety. For taurine and theanine, I recommend buying from LiftMode . They sell very good quality products for the best price.  if you are interested, there is some very interesting information about taurine in this link (not in regards to anxiety, but just in overall health promotion) _____

Anxiety can be helped with other methods rather than medication or a combination of both. A good hypnotherapist can help you put things in place to use when you feel anxious. If you continue to use the methods such as a tape of meditation or a calm place to visit it really works. Hope this will help you.

I've tried all sorts of medications, but I don't think anything will beat keeping active. I started cycling some weeks ago and started to feel benefits almost immediately. I wish I'd have thought about doing it a lot sooner than opting for medicine.

keep busy and keep a social surrounding. Easire said than done when you feel like rubbish but there isn't anything much better than that

Thank you

It's hard to say for sure, but you habits seem anxiogenic to me. I doubt that your gerd was the major cause of your panic attack, but it may have been a trigger.
