Anxiety

I have just changed my medication from quick release propranolol to the slow realise 80mg, I'm feeling a huge difference in a positive way. It's not completely back to normal just yet but in two days the anxiety has been minimum. Does anyone take the 80mg slow release and then sometimes use a top up of quick release if their anxiety is spinning off on one? I found towards the end of today I could feel the anxiety coming back and felt I could handle a 10 or 20mg to take the edge off!

Hi leah, I'm on 80mg slow release for chronic migraine, I find that you need to let them build up in your system to get the full effects so I'd say you don't need any top up just need to let it build up for a few weeks then you'll have it constantly in your system, hope this helps,  I also suffer from anxiety and find it really helps xx

Hi,

I suffer from anxiety attacks and was put on toprol a beta blocker, however I am not seeing any results. I see that many people are taking this med and was wondering how long you've been on it. Any major side effects? Thanks for sharing and best of luck.
