Hi guys, need some advice of possible. I've had a few panic attacks back in April and have been having CBT and it's really helped me but recently I have been having chest fluttering, stabbing pains in my chest. I've become obsessed with my heart. I've had bloods done to check my thyroid etc and all came back clear. I've also had an ecg and it was fine my heart beat was a little low at 47bpm. I'm 32 male and very active and was told my ecg was very good. But today I've had 2 episodes of feeling faint, toughness in chest and disoriented. Once this morning and tonight during football. I am
Now having hot flushing sensations in my chest and feeling a little spaced out. I'm so worried it's my heart as its giving an extra beat every 3 or 4. I have been put on propranolol 1 x 40mg tablets a day. Is this anxiety?? I'm considering paying to see a heart specialist. Thanks
Hey kevin
I actually had the same issue as you. My heart would flutter quite a bit and the doctors at first thought it was in enlarged heart. After having many test ,EKG ,nuclear, and stress. Nothing came about it. I do know that anxiety is a very tough thing and then you can make your heart palpitate. I would definitely suggest seeing a doctor if you are very concerned though
I went through the exact same symptoms. Ekg, stress test blood work, chest xrays, all clear. I too was obsessed thatit was my heart. I sometimes have super tightness of the chest, it even happened to my face. Right now im experiencing difficulty taking deep breaths. My drs say its all anxiety. I do have hypo thyroid but its normal since im taking meds for it. I felt dizzy and faint too, just plain weird sometimes. Yoga and accupuncture hav been helping me a lot!
Thanks for the reply. I've been back to the doctor but they are certain it's all anxiety. I've been put on 40mg propanol twice daily. I've been on these for 4 days now and the side effects are awful. I feel odd, chest pain, anxious and sometimes struggling to breath. I've been told these are some of the side effects that usually pass after a week. Here's hoping 🙏🏻
Thanks for the reply. I'm trying my best to get on with it and have been put on 40mg propanol that I'm hoping will help the physical symptoms for now .
