Recently i did a full panel test for stds.. everything came back negative except for HSV2 , however they did a supplemental test ok top if that and it came back negative. upon doing some research i learned that the cdc doesnt even reccomend screening for herpes because of how unrealible there tests can be. after this i am suffering from severe anxiety... i can hardly eat and im pretty sure im losing weight. its difficult for me to preform any tasks. i have no clue what to do... the thing is, is that the supplemental test was negative! so i really wonder why im worrying so much... i can hardly even sleep and the thought that i could have potentially given this to someone keeps me up at night. again the supplental test was negative and ive never had any symptoms of genetial herpes... ive been disagnosed with ocd many years ago and at the point, i really dont even want to have sex ever again.. it gives me too much anxiety. if anyone could give some advice id really appreicate it..
any advice would be great
I understand how upsetting this can be for you. But the supplemental test was negative and you have no symptoms. The fact that you have OCD could play into while you are worrying so much.
I know several people who have it and have never given it to anyone.
if you have no symptoms, try and relax about this. You may not have it at all. in the vast majority of cases, people contract it from somebody is who is having symptoms, but said nothing.
its not common to pass it to somebody when there are no symptoms present. possible, but not usual.
try to take your mind off of this by keeping busy. take care you’re going to be fine
thank you… i think im going to get tested again this monday and if the supplemental test is negative again im going to try really hard to let this go… its really been destroying me.
thank you… i just wish i knew if i was okay or not… i think im going to get tested once more and if the supplemental test is negative im going to try really hard to let this go
i worry that no one would love me if i really do have this
