Had my gastricband fitted early jan. Lost 2 stone including pre op diet. Ive stayed the same for a good 3 weeks. Just had first band fill 5 days ago but it feels no different, im so hungry. Really anxious not to be losing weight still!
Hi Margaret, i think it takes 3 or 4 fills before we are restricted. Ive had 2 fills so far and am now up to 5.3mils I still dont feel restricted but I definitely dont eat as much - but I think that is because I am now eating slower and off a side plate x It will get better honest x
You've lost 2 stone in as many months, no need to feel anxious you are doing brilliantly.
I too have just had my first fill, but according to many banders and the staff that did my fill it takes a few to get the restriction right, if your company are good they will be doing small increments so that they don't push you too hard too fast. Please don't be anxious but instead feel happy that you are two stone lower then you were at Christmas and I'm sure all the happier for it. I too have expirenced stalls on weight loss, it happens to everyone; but keep to the plan and you will push through it.
Yes they are only giving me small fills. I had 1ml left in by surgeon and had 3ml put in last week. I can feel the restriction when im eating if i dont chew. I am deffo eating smaller amounts. But im so hungry inbetween meals.
