Any advice

Hey,

My names Dan, I'm 24 and have been suffering from anxiety for almost 2 years now. I mainly suffer with health anxiety and for a while now I've been regularly been getting this uncomfortable chest feeling on the left side as well as some muscles throughout my body. It's like a weird tension pain, but it's mainly on the left side of my chest. Also I've been suffering from a inner shake feeling, almost like a inside trembling. Some dissiness too. Can anyone relate?

In the last 9 months I have had several ECGS, bloods tests, holder monitor and chest x ray, everything is clear. It's just frustrating now and can't seem to shake it. It usually worse when I'm stressed. Any advice or anyone who can relate and tell me there experience would be a massive help to just clarify I'm not the only one.

Thanks a lot, Daniel.

Hi Daniel,

I get the same symptoms myself, it was only today i was in Asda and my heart was beating that fast that i had to sit down as i felt i was going to be sick. So frightening. Ive had blood tests and chest x-rays, same as you everything has been ruled out. Ive been trying to push for a brain scan as i tend to get headaches alot, but they seem in no rush to do one even though ive been back and forth to the doctors for 2 years. I was told that i would 'know' if it was a tumour or anything like that, because id be fainting amongst other symptoms. I believe this situation has not helped my anxiety at all, im scared to sleep because i think something in my brain will burst and im a gonner. Its hard, as im new to this and im not really sure what im supposed to be doing to prevent or help the symptoms, you most certainly arent alone.

I hope you get help and receive the answers you long for.

Amy-Lee.

Daniel

Your tests are clear so you now need to discuss with your GP how you can control your Anxiety. We can relate,

Have your tried the Relaxation Technique and Breathing Techniques ?

They may help in the control of Anxiety

Hey,

Yep, that's the next step. I tried sertraline when I was first diagnosed but didn't work for me, so I've been coping alone for the last year and a half. Any medication you can recommend?

Thank you.

Hello,

oh I really feel for you, especially being new to it all. I remember it like it was yesterday when I first started experiencing physical symptoms from anxiety...it's awful. All I can say that yes it's a long process to overcome but there is light in the tunnel and it does slowly ease. I'm just going through a rough period at the moment but I do recommend the breathing techniques. I also suffered from headaches and ended up again after long determination with my doctor to proceed with a MRI scan - which also came back negative. It's a crappy process anxiety but keep telling yourself it is just anxiety it isn't going to kill you.

Stay strong & thank you for replying.

Daniel

Medications and there Patents, we are all different, my condition is a different type than yours and I take other types of drugs for my condition.

So I will not advise here

Sorry
